These Terms govern the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and operating policies between the service provider and the user in connection with the use of the mobile application Swoopbox (the "Service"). The Service is a personal content workspace that includes link, photo, and file saving, box organization, offline saving, a reader, sign-in, cloud synchronization, subscriptions, advertising, and sharing features.
These Terms take effect on April 6, 2026.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms are intended to define the conditions for providing the Service, the procedures for using it, the rights and obligations of users and the service provider, the scope of responsibility, and the standards for resolving disputes.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" means the Swoopbox application that provides link, photo, and file saving, box organization, a dashboard, search, memos, sharing, offline saving, a reader, sign-in, cloud synchronization, subscriptions, and advertising features.
- "Local Mode" means the mode in which data is stored and used only on the user’s device without sign-in.
- "Cloud Mode" means the mode in which certain data and uploaded assets are synchronized with Firebase-based storage after the user signs in with a Google or Apple account.
- "Box" means a user-defined unit for grouping and managing saved links, photos, and files by subject, task, or project.
- "Offline Saved Content" means WebArchive files, full-page capture images, and related saved files generated or restored by the Service and opened in the reader.
Article 3 (Commencement of Use and Mode Selection)
- When first entering the Service, users may choose either Local Mode or sign-in-based Cloud Mode.
- Cloud Mode may be started through Google sign-in or Apple sign-in on supported platforms.
- In Local Mode, core data is stored only on the current device, and cloud synchronization and account-based backup do not operate.
Article 4 (Services Provided)
Depending on the current version and supported platform, the Service may include the following features:
- Saving links, photos, and files through direct input, system share menus, and app links
- Creating, renaming, deleting, sorting, and searching boxes, and managing box-specific lists
- A dashboard displaying recent, popular, and recommended links
- Favorites, pinning, title editing, memo writing, and batch editing
- Sharing individual items (links, photos, and files) and bundled box sharing for multiple items
- Full-page saving (WebArchive), full-page capture, offline reader access, and restoration of saved content
- Local notifications and reminders focused on unread links
- Google or Apple sign-in, cloud synchronization, and storage usage display
- Subscription management, ad display, and offline reader access rights provided through rewarded ads
- Help, feedback, privacy policy, terms of service, and data/account management features
Article 5 (Plans, Subscriptions, Advertising, and Offline Reader Policy)
- The Service may currently operate plan tiers such as Local, Starter, Pro, and Ultra. Each tier may differ in whether cloud synchronization is supported, the storage limit, whether ads are shown, and how the offline reader may be accessed.
- Under the current policy, Starter may provide free cloud synchronization and 5 GB of storage, while Pro and Ultra may provide 50 GB and 200 GB of storage respectively, along with an ad-free experience.
- Local Mode and Starter both provide up to three free offline saved-content openings per month. After that, additional openings may be obtained by watching rewarded ads.
- Subscription prices, taxes, billing cycles, refunds, cancellations, and payment methods are governed first by the policies displayed and managed by the App Store or Google Play.
- The Service may reflect a user’s plan status only after verifying the store purchase on the server, and plan activation may be delayed until such verification is completed.
Article 6 (Copyright, Sharing, and Offline Saving Restrictions)
- The Service is a tool for personal productivity and organization, and does not permit or encourage unauthorized copying, mass distribution, or illegal dissemination of third-party content.
- An individual-item share or box bundle share executed directly by the user functions only as the transfer of titles, URLs, files, or share text, and the user is responsible for confirming the rights status of the shared material.
- Depending on source-site policies, DRM, protected streaming structures, and platform characteristics limited to official apps, some links or media may be restricted from offline saving or may not be supported.
- Offline saved content may not be reproduced in exactly the same way as the source page. Differences in layout, non-functioning scripts, missing elements, and media restrictions may occur.
Article 7 (User Obligations)
- Users must comply with applicable laws and third-party rights with respect to the links, photos, files, and other materials they use for saving, sharing, memo writing, and offline saving.
- Users are responsible for managing their account information, store payment methods, device security, and the possibility of data backup and recovery.
- Users must not engage in storing illegal content, distributing malicious links, abusing the Service structure, bypassing ad reward policies, evading purchase verification, or causing system failures.
Article 8 (Synchronization, Data Deletion, and Account Deletion)
- Cloud Mode is optional for users, and synchronization may be delayed or partially fail depending on network conditions, third-party service status, and storage limits.
- When Cloud Mode is first started, the method of initializing between device data and an empty cloud workspace may be selected by the user or determined automatically.
- If a user signs in again after signing out, some local data may be replaced or re-synchronized during the restoration of cloud data and uploaded photo/file assets.
- The full-data deletion feature in the data/account management menu may clear data on the current device and, if the user is signed in, may also attempt to delete cloud data.
- Account deletion is a procedure for permanently deleting the signed-in account and synchronized data. However, store subscriptions are subject to separate policies. App Store subscriptions may need to be canceled directly by the user in store settings, and Google Play subscriptions may be automatically canceled where possible, but this is not always guaranteed.
Article 9 (Changes, Restrictions, and Suspension of the Service)
- The service provider may change, add, remove, restrict, or suspend all or part of the Service based on technical, operational, or policy needs.
- Sign-in, synchronization, advertising, subscription, remote offline-saving, and external metadata integration features may be adjusted according to third-party policies, API changes, or infrastructure conditions.
- If there is a material change, the service provider may provide notice through the app, website, store notices, or other reasonable methods.
Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)
- The service provider does not warrant the legality, security, availability, or quality of content on original websites.
- For losses caused by user-device issues, operating system limitations, network failures, app market policies, ad network failures, third-party authentication issues, or cloud provider outages, the service provider shall be liable only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- The results shown for recommended links, metadata, thumbnails, social previews, and offline saved content may vary depending on technical limitations and external site structures, and completeness or accuracy is not always guaranteed.
Article 11 (Privacy Protection)
Matters relating to the processing of personal information are governed by the separate Privacy Policy document.
Article 12 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first attempt to resolve it through consultation. If no agreement is reached, a claim may be filed with a court having jurisdiction.
